BUSINESS MENTOR AND ADVISER
Paul offers mentoring to directors, senior managers and entrepreneurs. If they are based in the Midlands this can be “face to face” mentoring sessions or via Skype for clients based elsewhere. A six or twelve month programme, with mentoring sessions once a month is a standard framework, but others are also possible. Fees are agreed with each client.
As an Adviser Paul provides varied business advice to help clients accelerate their growth, via input across all facets of business, but in particular strategic and business planning.
WHAT IS BUSINESS MENTORING?
A mentor is a trusted guide, an independent and objective source of support, who brings their knowledge and experience to help their mentee develop both professionally and personally and thus help them develop their business. Mentoring helps develop individuals, over a period of time, for what they are currently doing and what they wish to do in the future. A mentor provides support by offering information, advice and assistance in a way that empowers the mentee, thus mentoring is a rich source of self learning and personal growth. In contrast coaching is often shorter term and more task orientated, focusing on goals and outcomes that are measurable and suited to the client’s objectives.
THE ASSOCIATION OF BUSINESS MENTORS
Paul is a successful member of The Association of Business Mentors, which is the national trade body for Enterprise and Business Mentors. Its purpose is to inspire and champion excellence in Business Mentoring, to advance awareness and standards in the business mentoring profession and to make a sustainable difference to mentors, the organisations and people that they help. It holds a stringent application process.
